In the early 1980s, Happy Days Park was dismantled for a new elementary school, and its playground toys were given to the First Baptist Church to be available for Arizona City children, leading to the creation of an expanded “Community Park.” Recent improvements include a new stage, sidewalk, commercial-grade turf, refurbished equipment, a basketball court, volleyball court, soccer field, and plans to redo a walking path, with donations welcomed to support further enhancements.

• Park Enhancements: Since the 1980s, Happy Days Park toys were moved to the First Baptist Church and expanded with donations, including a ramada, picnic tables, grill, basketball court, play area, shade cover, and a “Tiny Tots Play Area.”

 

• Recent Upgrades: In 2023, old equipment was replaced with a stage, sidewalk, turf, a new basketball court surface, volleyball court, soccer field, and additional picnic tables.

 

• Future Plans: Plans include redoing the 1/4 mile walking path with concrete at an estimated cost of $40,000; current funds are just over $5,000, and donations are welcomed to enhance the park.
